Raleigh Window Film is happy to share all of our tips on proper care and maintenance so that you can ensure optimal product life with your new window film investment. With the right care and cleaning, window film can last over a decade. In addition to ongoing maintenance, please read our initial installation instructions in order to avoid any reinstallations.
***DO NOT CLEAN YOUR WINDOW FILM FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION***
Once your window film is installed, please refrain from cleaning your windows for at least 30 days. Your newly applied film will require at least a month to fully cure. Please do not touch or clean the surface of your window film until after 30 days. Bubbles can naturally form during this time and shouldn’t be tampered with. If you happen to pop a bubble, please contact us immediately.
After your window film has properly cured, you won’t need to clean your windows as often since it is less porous than glass. When cleaning your window film, only use a non-abrasive cloth or sponge along with a mild detergent or cleaner. Never use anything abrasive or with harsh chemicals. A silicone polish may be applied if desired but is not required.
